Tamron Gives More Lens Options For Sony Mirrorless Cameras

Writer: ANGAD JOSHIANGAD JOSHI

Having successful lenses already placed in the market, Tamron is further expanding into the market for Sony Mirrorless Cameras. The existing 17-28mm f2.8 and 28-75mm f2.8 are already gaining lot of appreciation. With the new launches Tamron is completing a Zoom Lens Trinity by introducing a brand new 70-180mm F/2.8 Di III VXD. More details on this lens are yet to be announced by the maker.

Apart from this they have revealed three additional prime lenses for Sony Mirror-less. 20mm F/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2, 24mm F/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2 and 35mm F/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2. These lenses will be available from mid-November onwards and these Primes will share the same cost of $349.

Being lenses for mirrorless cameras, they are light in weight and would scale around 200gms. All the three Primes will have filter diameter of 67mm.

Tamron declared that all these new lenses will feature a moisture resistant built and the front element will have fluorine coating on it, which helps avoiding smudges on the lens. Tamron is currently accepting pre-orders for all the new released prime lenses. But we have no information about the availability of the zoom lens yet.
